Assets Under Management (AUM)

The term assets under management, or AUM for short, denotes the total amount of wealth being managed by a financial services provider.

That includes all assets administrated under discretionary asset management or advisory asset management arrangements.

The AUM is a defining measure of both private wealth managers and banks focused on wealth management.
