Average Total Assets

The term average total sales denotes the average of a company’s total assets at the beginning of a term (normally a financial year) and its assets at the end of the same term.

Example: A company holds 800,000 Swiss francs in total assets at the beginning of a financial year and 1.2 million francs in total assets at the end of the same financial year. So the company’s average total assets over that financial year are 1 million francs.
