Bank Loan

A bank loan is a loan which is granted and financed by a bank. This sets bank loans apart from non-bank loans, which are provided by lenders other than banks (such as peer to peer lending platforms).

Banks provide personal loans to private individuals and business loans to businesses. Swiss banks which provide personal loans include Cembra Money Bank, Bank-now, Migros Bank and Cashgate (a subsidiary of Aduno, a joint venture held by several banks).

Bank loans for businesses (such as current account loans) are offered by the majority of Swiss banks.

A comparison of all Swiss bank loans for private individuals is available on moneyland.ch.
