Basket Order

A basket order is a trading order which lets investors buy or sell entire sets or “baskets” of securities using a single order.

Baskets can be made up of many different stocks or other securities. Brokers may offer basket orders based on pre-defined baskets, or they may allow investors to create their own baskets ahead of placing orders.

Depending on the broker, it may be possible to sell the securities purchased using a basket order individually.
