Block Header

In blockchain terms, the term “block header” refers to the basic code making up the foundation of a block. The block header includes the hash of the preceding block – linking it to that block.

It also includes the hash of the Merkle root, which serves as the foundation of the hash tree (combined with the block header, the hash tree makes up a block).
