Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB)

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) is Romania’s main stock exchange and commenced operations in 1995. The exchange plays a central role in the privatization of formerly state-owned companies, with many of these being listed on the exchange.

Contracts traded on the exchange include shares, bonds, warrants, investment funds and certificates. More than 80 companies are listed on the exchange, while more than 30 financial intermediaries participate as members. Trades are performed electronically via the Arena automated exchange platform.

The Bucharest Stock Exchange Trading Index (BET) tracks the performance of stocks listed on the exchange.

Trading hours: Monday through Friday 9:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EET (UTC+2)
Settlement cycle: T+2
