DNS Server

DNS is the abbreviated form of Domain Name System.

As soon as a new Internet domain is created, it is forwarded to a DNS server. The DNS server then sends back an IP address. This IP address enables computers, phones, and other devices to connect with the desired server.

The DNS server can be chosen freely. You can find an overview of some widely-used DNS servers here.
