The calculation is based on a mobile user who makes 20 calls within their destination country, 20 calls to Switzerland from their destination country, and receives 20 calls while in the destination country. The average call time used for each call is 2 minutes. Calculations account for the effect of per-minute billing by adding half-a-minute per call. This results in the mobile user paying for 150 minutes although they only make 120 minutes of calls.

Calculations account for the most affordable offer per mobile service provider, including possible options. As a general rule, purchasing the right data or call options before you travel abroad is recommended. The roaming allowances included in some mobile plans are not accounted for.
