Do shops in Switzerland do Black Friday? Are there specific shops which do more Black Friday sales than others? Which shops have the best Black Friday deals?

Like a lot of American marketing inventions, Black Friday has become apparent in Switzerland in recent years. My overall impression is that Black Friday is increasing in popularity every year.

Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving, a U.S. celebration which takes place on the fourth Thursday of November. It kicks off the Christmas shopping season. It is famous for the shopping discounts and sales which are (supposedly) better on Black Friday than at other times. That means you should theoretically be able to buy stuff cheaper than on any other day.

In central Europe, online merchants have stepped up their Black Friday marketing efforts. Digitec and Galaxus, for example, offer Black Friday deals. Department store and shops like Manor, H&M, Dosenbach, Globus, Coop, etc. are also beginning to hop on the band wagon.
