Buying a House Near High Voltage Power Lines

Is buying a house near power lines a good investment? My husband and I have been considering buying instead of renting. We found a house that is perfect in every way, with the exception that it is located near a high-voltage power line.

From a financial perspective, how does proximity to high-voltage power lines affect the value of a property with regards to reselling or renting it out?

It is worth noting that properties located near to high-voltage power lines may be difficult to resell or rent out due to concerns over the possible health effects of high-voltage power lines.

A key factor is whether exposure to the emissions and magnetic field of the power lines fall within the limitations set out by the Swiss federal government.
