Are there any fees or charges when you close a vested benefits account?
Hi there,
Most vested benefits foundations such as those run by Swiss banks do not charge withdrawal fees when you cash out vested benefits accounts after reaching retirement age. However, some foundations charge a fee when you close a vested benefits account and transfer the money to a pension fund. Some charge fees when you cash out vested benefits accounts ahead of retirement (for the purchase of a home, for example).
