Hi all,
If my car gets damaged, do I have to pay for repairs and then claim compensation or can I just get the insurance company to transfer the money straight into my bank account?

A good first move is to contact your car insurance provider as soon as your car is damaged. Depending on the terms and conditions of your car insurance policy, you may be required to contact the insurance company and have them organize repairs or tell you which garages or workshops are eligible. If your contract has this clause, the insurance company may reduce insurance benefits if you do not let them organize the repair for you.
