Online travel portal vs. travel agency

I am new in Switzerland and am looking for a good solution for booking cheap flights. Where I used to live there were a number of travel agencies which had special offers on flights and these were often the cheapest option. Are there any low-cost travel agencies in Switzerland which beat the prices of online travel booking portals? Or are online portals always cheapest in Switzerland?
