As a Swiss citizen, you are entitled to receive your social security pension (AHV/AVS) no matter where in the world you live.
The same holds true for citizens of European Union (EU) or European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries who have worked in Switzerland and receive a Swiss social security pension.
If you are a citizen of Australia, Israel, Canada, the USA, Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Montenegro, San Marino, Turkey, Japan or the Philippines, you may be eligible to continue receiving your Swiss pension when you move out of Switzerland. Depending on the exact agreement between Switzerland and you country, you may be able to receive your pension no matter where you reside or you may only receive it if you reside in your home country.
Citizens of all other countries normally cannot continue to receive their Swiss pension when they move abroad. However, you can claim reimbursement of all contributions you have paid into the old-age social security scheme upon leaving Switzerland.
