Are there tax deductions for families with children in Switzerland? If so, how much can be deducted per child?

Hi there,

A preset tax deduction applies for each dependent child. The exact amount which can be deducted from your taxable income varies between cantons.

Tax deductions may also apply to young adults who are still dependent (grown children who are working through their education, for example).

The costs of child care - daycare centres for example - can also be deducted in some cases.

Best regards from Moneyguru
