Can I deduct donations I make to Swiss political parties from my taxable income in Switzerland?
Hi there,
Donations to political parties and party membership fees can be deducted from your taxable income for Swiss income tax puposes. This applies to both federal and cantonal taxes.
There are limits on the maximum deduction you can claim for political donations. For federal income tax, this deduction is capped at 10,100 Swiss francs. Cantonal caps on deductions for political donations vary.
The deduction applies to donations to any political party.
