Can I deduct the cost of public transportation from my taxable income in Switzerland?
Hi there,
You can deduct part of the costs of commuting to work from your taxable income for Swiss income tax purposes.
While a number of limitations apply to tax deductions for those who commute in private vehicles, the cost of commuting between your place of residence and your workplace using public transport can always be deducted, up to a maximum deduction of 3000 Swiss francs.
