Hi there,
While gifts from parents to their children are not taxable in most Swiss cantons, gifts from children to their parents are taxable in the majority of cantons. The canton of Aargau makes allowance for tax-free gifts from children to parents under certain circumstances. The child's place of residence is the deciding factor in determining whether gifts are taxable.
