Hi there,
UBS did launch a UBS Infinite credit card in May, 2017. However, this credit card was only launched in the U.S. and not in Switzerland.
Aside from the flexible line of credit, the benefits and the fees of this card are similar to those of other high-end U.S. credit cards like the American Express Platinum and the Citi Prestige card. It has a US$ 495 annual fee and no foreign transaction fee.
Benefits include an annual US$ 250 airline fee credit, a concierge service, unlimited airport lounge access via Priority Pass membership and Airport Club, 12 complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi passes annually, recurring credit towards TSA passes, up to US$ 700 credit towards stays at Villas of Distinction properties and benefits when staying at hotels in the Visa Infinite Luxury Collection (US$ 25 food and beverage credit, complimentary Wi-Fi (in-room), daily complimentary breakfast, VIP guest status, late checkout).
The travel insurance is similar to what many Swiss credit cards offer, but is high-end insofar as U.S. credit cards are concerned. You get trip delay, trip cancellation, lost or delayed luggage, travel accident and emergency medical evacuation coverage.
An exceptional feature of the UBS Visa Infinite credit card is that you get reimbursed for ATM fees when you use this card to withdraw money (up to US$ 10 in reimbursement per transaction). This makes it ideal for people who pay for a large portion of their transactions in cash, and sets it apart from other U.S. credit cards.
The annual interest rate (15.99% variable APR for purchases and 22.99% variable APR for cash advances) is much higher than that charged by Swiss card issuers, but average by U.S. standards.
Whether or not UBS will issue a similar credit card in Switzerland in the future is currently unknown. However, you can compare available Swiss UBS credit cards and find detailed information using the moneyland.ch credit card comparison.
