Not long ago I came across an injured squirrel while on a walk and I took it to a vet for treatment. The vet made me sign as guarantor for the payment. Do I have to pay the vet bills for a wild animal or should the government pay them?

Hi there,

If you injure a wild animal or find a wild animal in need of veterinary care, you can contact the local forestry authority and they will see to its care.

If you bring a wild animal to a veterinarian, you will have to pay the veterinary bills.
