Ivey Purchasing Managers Index

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) tracks economic sentiment in Canada based on reports from purchasing managers across the country. It has been published by the Ivey Business School at Western University in London, Ontario since the year 2000.

The index is published in both seasonally adjusted and unadjusted formats. Its basis for calculation is simple: Purchase managers are surveyed as to whether or not their purchases in Canadian dollars were lower, identical or higher to those of the previous month.
