Knock-In Option

A knock-in option is an option which can only be exercised if the price of its underlying asset surpasses a predetermined limit (the barrier).

The two primary types of knock-in options are down-and-in barrier options and up-and-in barrier options.

A knock-in double barrier option combines both of these by using two limits – one above and one below the initial price of the underlying asset.
