Limited Partnership

In Switzerland a limited partnership (German: Kommanditgesellschaft, French: société en commandite) is a company classification in which a minimum of two individuals act as partners.

One partner (or several) assumes the role of general partner, accepting full liability for the company’s financial obligations. The remaining partner (or partners) assumes the role of limited partner, bearing only limited liability for the company’s financial obligations.

Limited partnerships must be recorded in a commercial register.
