Living Will

A living will is a testament through which a testator specifies how their healthcare, assets and legal affairs should be managed in the event of their becoming incapable of sound judgment.

Unlike a will, which is only executed after the testator is dead, a living will is executed while the testator is still alive, but cannot make sound decisions due to being unconscious or otherwise mentally incapacitated.
