Principal-Protected Note

A principal-protected note is a note which guarantees repayment of principal and is made up of a bond and a derivative.

The bond guarantees the repayment of your money when the bond matures. The derivative is based on underlying assets such as stocks and allows you to make a profit on your investment if the underlying assets perform well.
