Store Card

A store card is a payment card offered by a merchant which allows its customers to make purchases on credit or as installment purchases.

Store cards may be combined with loyalty cards to allow holders to earn customer loyalty rewards and access discounts on their purchases from the corresponding merchant or group of merchants.

The financing available through store cards may be provided by a third-party lender like a bank or credit card issuer, or the merchant may use in-house financing.

Examples of store cards in Switzerland are listed in the moneyland.ch guide to store cards.
