CAEX and APEX

The CAEX and APEX indexes are a pair of Swiss real estate indexes which track real estate prices in the Canton of Ticino in southern Switzerland. These indexes are published by BancaStato, the cantonal bank of Ticino.

Both the CAEX and the APEX indices are calculated by real estate market research firm IAZI/CIFI (which publishes the IAZI Swiss Property Benchmark) on behalf of BancStato. The CAEX index tracks the prices at which single family homes in the Canton of Ticino are transacted, while the APEX index tracks the prices at which apartments in the Canton of Ticino are transacted.
