Annual General Meeting

In Switzerland, the annual general meeting of shareholders or “AGM” which certain types of legal entities are required to host is known as a “Generalversammlung” in German (often abbreviated to “GV”) or an assemblée générale in French.

Entities which are required to host general assemblies include public companies (Aktiengesellschaft), limited partnerships (GmbH), cooperatives (Genossenschaft), foundations and associations.
