Standard coverage
General
Worldwide coverage. The legal protection insurance is provided by Coop Legal Protection AG.
Within the scope of individual insurance: the policyholder. Within the scope of household insurance: the policyholder and those persons who living permanently with him/her in the same household. Additionally: children in education and minor children of these persons, even if they do not live in the same household.
Stamp taxes of 5 percent included.
Free choice of lawyer.
The insurer can terminate the contract: at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or insurance year. After every insured event for which a claim is payable. If material risk factors have been concealed or falsely communicated.
Minimum contract duration: 1 year. The contract will automatically renew for another year unless termination notice is given 3 months in advance.
A waiting period of 3 months applies. No waiting period for legal disputes in connection with cybercrime and from the infringement of copyright, name and trademark rights.
No minimum amount in dispute.
Coverage by Helvetia Legal Protection Insurance.
Exclusions (examples): If the driver was not authorized to drive the vehicle. When acquiring or re-acquiring a driver’s license.
Legal advisory protection covering all other matters: one advisory session per calendar year. The claim is valid once per case.
Covering the costs of mediation. Covering the costs of travel to a foreign court and translation.
