General information:

Outpatient insurance Sanitas Vital Premium.

Notice period:

The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year.

Premiums and discounts:

Amount of premiums varies depending on the age, place of residence and gender of the insured person. Discount for early payment.

Glasses and contact lenses:

Cost contribution to eyeglass lenses, contact lenses and vision aids or eye lasering: 100%, up to CHF 600 within 3 calendar years, including neighboring foreign countries.

Vaccinations:

80 percent cost contribution, up to a maximum of CHF 1500 per calendar year including preventive measures.

Preventative examinations:

Contribution of 80 percent to the costs of check-ups, gynecological examinations and early detection of cancer up to CHF 1500 per calendar year, including vaccinations.
Self-tests, online birthmark checks and glaucoma prevention consultations are also covered.

Gym memberships:

Cost contribution of 80 percent to fitness subscriptions and exercise classes, up to a maximum of CHF 400.
Cost contribution of 80 percent to other health promotion (nutrition, mental balance, etc.), up to a maximum of CHF 400.

Medicines:

90 percent of medicines not coverd by health insurance companies.

Alternative medicine:

80 percent up to CHF 10,000 per calendar year (massages up to CHF 750 per calendar year).

Psychotherapy:

Cost contribution to nonphysician psychotherapy: 80 percent up to CHF 5000 per calendar year together with ligation, correction of protruding ears, digital therapy services and genetic tests.

Search & rescue in Switzerland:

Full cover for emergency transportation and rescue costs. Search costs: CHF 50,000 per event.

Search & rescue abroad:

Costs are covered if organized by Sanitas Assistance.

Medical costs abroad:

Full coverage of outpatient and inpatient treatment for a maximum of 180 days.

Tooth misalignment treatments:

Treatment of tooth misalignment up to the age of 20: 80 percent (per calendar year), including neighboring foreign countries.

Dental treatments:

No coverage.

Spa & convalescent therapy :

Coverage within hospital insurance.

Equipment:

90 percent up to CHF 1000 per calendar year.

Sterilization:

Cost contribution to ligation: 80 percent up to CHF 5000 per calendar year together with nonphysician psychotherapy, correction of protruding ears, digital therapy services and genetic tests.

Maternity:

For example antenatal classes, postnatal exercise classes and first aid courses: 80 percent up to CHF 1000 per calendar year. Waiting period: 9 months.
The daily parental/adoption allowance is also included in the cover.

Ear corrections:

Cost contribution to correction of protruding ears: 80 percent up to CHF 5000 per calendar year together with nonphysician psychotherapy, ligation, digital therapy services and genetic tests.

Home care:

Coverage within hospital insurance.

Additional services:

Full cover even with pre-existing conditions.
Downgrading (without health check) of the insurance level possible.
