Worldwide coverage.

Within the scope of individual insurance: the policyholder. Within the scope of household insurance: the policyholder and those persons who living permanently with him/her in the same household. Additionally: children in education and minor children of these persons, even if they do not live in the same household (up to the age of 29).

Stamp taxes of 5 percent included.

Choice of legal representation: the insurance company has the right to reject a lawyer proposed by the insured person. The insured person may then propose three lawyers from different law firms in the relevant jurisdiction, from which the insurance company can select the lawyer to be appointed.

The insurer can terminate the contract: at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or insurance year. After every insured event for which a claim is payable. If material risk factors have been concealed or falsely communicated.

Minimum contract duration: 1 year. The contract will automatically renew for another year unless termination notice is given 3 months in advance.

Waiting period depending on the legal area: None up to 1 year.
The waiting period does not apply in the case of prior insurance of the same risk and seamless transfer in terms of time, as well as for disputes arising from contracts concluded after the insurance contract came into force. 

No minimum amount in dispute.

Real estate legal protection possible as supplementary insurance.

Exclusions (examples): If the driver was not authorized to drive the vehicle. When acquiring or re-acquiring a driver’s license.

Legal advisory protection covering matters relating to family, inheritance, tax and property law up to a maximum of CHF 1500 per insurance year.

Costs of mediation covered (marital law: up to CHF 15,000) and loss of income.
Translation and travelling expenses (legal case abroad): covered up to 6000 francs. 
Increase of the amount insured possible (Switzerland/Europe CHF 1,500,000 and World CHF 300,000).
