The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year.

Childbirth costs are covered in listed hospitals throughout Switzerland. For an inpatient birth at a birth centre: at least CHF 1000. Outpatient birth at home: CHF 1500 per birth. Waiting period: 365 days.
Stay of an accompanying person: CSS pays at most CHF 80 per day, up to a maximum of CHF 2000 per calendar year (in the case of minor children).
