Notice period:

Amount of premiums varies depending on the age, place of residence and gender of the insured person.

General ward: no co-payment.
Semi-private ward: no co-payment.
Private ward: no co-payment.

The insured persons receive up to CHF 160 per day up to CHF 4000 per calendar year for spa or convalescent therapies.

Maternity:

Childbirth costs are covered in listed hospitals throughout Switzerland. For an inpatient birth at a birth centre: at least CHF 1000. Outpatient birth at home: CHF 2000 per birth. Waiting period: 365 days.

Rooming in:

Stay of an accompanying person: CSS pays at most CHF 160 per day, up to a maximum of CHF 4000 per calendar year.

Home help:

Emergency transport costs:

Hospital abroad:

Worldwide cover for all kind of treatments. In case of elective treatments: up to CHF 500,000 per calendar year.

Maximum of 180 days per calendar year in a clinic of your choice.

Additional services:

Hospitalization and examination costs for newborns.
In-patient ligation (CHF 10,000 per case).
Outpatient treatment in partner clinics: CHF 1400 per calendar year and CHF 500 per calendar year for additional services (parking tickets, travel costs, childcare, etc.).
Transportation costs to avoid or shorten a hospital stay: CHF 2000 per calendar year.
