From April 1, 2025, Yallo and Lebara customers will have to reach deeper into their pockets to pay their phone bills. The monthly fees of many mobile plans are going up by between 50 centimes and 2 francs. The price hike affects both new and existing customers.
Yallo and Lebara name higher running costs as the reason behind the price increases. Specifically, they cite higher costs for electricity (+23 percent, on average), insurance, rents, construction costs, salaries, and fees paid for access to third-party networks.

Are the prices of promotional offers also going up?
The price increases also apply to promotional offers. Many Yallo and Lebara customers do not understand the way in which promotional offers from these providers work. The discount is always applied to the standard fees. But when the standard fees go up, the overall price you pay for promotional offers after the discount is applied is also higher.
Price increases of up to 11.1 percent
Yallo and Lebara say that they are raising their standard prices by around 1.5 percent. But for many customers, the actual price increases are much higher than that. Calculations by moneyland.ch show that customers who subscribed to mobile plans with a 50-percent discount will pay between 2 percent and 6.7 percent more from April. Those who subscribed with a 70-percent discount will see their monthly fees go up by between 3.3 and 11.1 percent.
Will any Yallo and Lebara plans remain unchanged?
The prices of certain offers will not go up in April. These offers are:
- The Yallo Slim, Yallo Slim Plus, and Yallo Zero mobile plans.
- All Yallo and Lebara prepaid mobile offers.
- All Yallo home Internet and TV plans.
- Mobile device installment plans.
Yallo and Lebara follow in the footsteps of Sunrise and Salt, both of which have already raised their prices in 2025.
Price hikes for telekom services are widespread at this current time. Sunrise and Salt raised their prices from March 1. Now, one month later, Yallo and Lebara are becoming more expensive.
Market leader Swisscom is not planning to raise its standard mobile plan fees, according to a statement made by Swisscom CEO Christoph Aeschlimann at a recent press conference. But in 2024, numerous Swisscom customers were affected by price changes to the Bluewin email service. Video streaming service providers Netflix, Disney Plus, and Sky Show also raised their prices in 2024.
Customers have the right to terminate their contracts
Yallo and Lebara have posted information on their websites informing customers about their right to terminate contracts affected by the price changes early. Customers have until the end of March 2025 to give notice. Yallo and Lebara require you to give notice via their chat lines, or by phone at 0840 00 33 77 (Yallo) or 0800 480 111 (Lebara). If you will be moving to a different mobile service provider and taking your existing phone number with you, then the notice can also be given by your new provider as part of the migration process.
It is generally advisable not to create a long term contract with your new mobile service provider because both Yallo’s and Lebara’s terms and conditions allow them to make you an alternative offer.
Tip: Comparing pays off
The price increases are easy to avoid. Although Yallo and Lebara are both among the more affordable mobile service providers, there are often cheaper offers to be found on the Swiss market. The interactive mobile plan comparison on moneyland.ch enables you to quickly find out which offers are the most suitable for you.
